3rd Floor follows Maya Turner, a fiercely outspoken Black activist, and Brett Hawkins, a middle-aged white conservative, who become trapped together in an office elevator after a tense first encounter. Forced into close quarters, their argument over race, grief, privilege, and personal responsibility quickly becomes painfully personal, revealing that both are carrying deep wounds shaped by violence and loss. After their rescue, a series of unexpected encounters keeps pulling them back into each other’s lives, challenging their assumptions, straining their relationships, and forcing them to confront whether genuine understanding is possible between two people who seem divided by everything.
